Whether you’re looking for a “back to basics” camping experience or the comfort of a charming self-catering cottage, our working farm is the ideal base for your Cornish adventure.
Our campsite is a large, open grass field designed for those who love the authentic outdoor life. We offer a non-EHU (no electric hook-up) experience with a relaxed vibe and unrestricted pitch sizes.
Seasonal Opening: We are open from 1st April through the end of September (weather dependent).
Flexible Booking: We accept “Drive-ins”—if we have space, we’d love to welcome you!
Campfires: Raised campfires are permitted, allowing you to watch the sunset over Mounts Bay in comfort.
We provide simple, spotless facilities to ensure a comfortable stay:
Amenities: Two clean, well-maintained blocks with hot showers, toilets, basins, and a baby-change station.
Washing Up: A dedicated covered area for cleaning your gear.
The Handy Hut: A central hub featuring a kettle, shared fridge/freezer, and sockets for charging phones and battery packs. You’ll also find books, games, and logs for sale here.
We are a family-friendly site with plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the fresh air.
Recreation: A central grass area is available for football, kite flying, and burning off energy.
Groups: We welcome groups and simply ask that all guests remain respectful of others and the site.
Dog Friendly: We offer a designated enclosed exercise field on-site. We are close to three dog-friendly beaches and a great dog-friendly pub in Gunwalloe.
We believe in simple, transparent pricing per person, per night:
Adults: £9
Solo Rate: From £10
Children (4–15 years): £4
Infants (3 & under): FREE
Dogs: Up to 4 dogs allowed for FREE
For those who prefer a solid roof, our modern 2-bedroom cottage sleeps five people. It is fully dog-friendly and located just 5 minutes from Helston, providing easy access to supermarkets and local bakeries. All linens and towels are provided—all you need to bring is yourselves.
Lamarth Farm is managed by Luke—a third-generation farmer—alongside Rachel and their family.
Farm Life: You’ll see tractors at work and can visit our resident goats, chickens, and ducks (fresh eggs are often available!).
Safety: As this is a working environment, please stay within the camping field and do not venture into the farm yard.
Aviation: We are close to RNAS Culdrose, so look out for helicopters and gliders overhead!
No, booking is not strictly required. While you are welcome to contact Rachel to secure a spot, the farm accepts "Drive-ins" if space is available. With unrestricted pitch sizes, they aim to accommodate everyone who arrives looking for a "back to basics" escape.
